Hosts Christine and Bob Wiese welcome you to Chuckem Farmstay.
The farm is 25kms south west of Narrogin in the beautiful Upper Great Southern Region of W.A.
Chuckem, an Aboriginal word, is named after the winter creek that meanders through the property.
The farm produces merino sheep and a variety of grains including oats, barley, canola and lupins.
Chuckem is an ideal place to relax in comfort and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the surrounding countryside.
While staying at Chuckem guests can:
- Observe the seasonal activities such as shearing, cropping and harvesting
- Feed the animals
- Take a picnic lunch to one of the picturesque places on the farm
- Visit the unfinished stone cottage built by the Pustkuchen family many years ago
- Enjoy the exquisite wildflowers in September and October while strolling through the bush
- Observe the native wildlife including birds and kangaroos
- Experience fishing for yabbies (which are like a fresh water prawn) in the dams
The farm is also a base to visit the local attractions in the regional town of Narrogin and other surrounding towns.
Guests can enjoy staying at our comfortable 3 bedroom cottage, suitable for couples, families or a group of friends (maximum of 6 people). Amenities include:
- Linen and electric blankets
- Laundry with washing machine and a dryer
- Well-equipped kitchen which includes a large fridge, a stove and a microwave
- TV, DVD player, air conditioning, gas heater, books and games
No smoking in rooms.
Sorry, no pets allowed on a working farm.
