At Esperance Farm Experience we focus on fun, food and learning. We provide an authentic experience that gives the tourist a richer understanding of how their food and clothes are produced. We have a vast array of machinery, all necessary on a working farm. We encourage hands-on experience: from climbing on to machinery for a closer look; to meeting and greeting our pet bull Brandon; his cows, pet lambs; always eager to please working dogs; and the numerous array of other friendly animals; natural flora and fauna on our farm. Experience completed with traditional ‘smoko’ in the shearing shed.
Esperance Farm Experience’s main attraction is Oake Marsh Farm, located 25 Km North East of Esperance Town Site on Kirwan Road, only 5 km from Esperance’s Stonehenge. The farm is on the way to Cape Le Grande National Park via Merivale Road which is heavily frequented by visitors.
Oake Marsh Farm is a commercial working farm committed to biosecurity and farm safety. Bookings are necessary as without these, we are ‘out farming’. Esperance Farm Experience tours are entertaining as well as informative so patrons leave with a positive experience and positive perception of the agricultural industry.
Whilst our half day tour focuses just on Oake Marsh Farm, our full day adventure includes pick up and drop off from the Esperance Visitors Centre. You will hear the history of farming in this region, marvel at the famous Esperance Stonehenge, followed by three hours on Oake Marsh Farm including a sumptuous morning smoko. You will be treated to a guided tour through the stunning Olive trees at Yirri Grove, learn how olives are pressed and taste the award winning Evoo, lunch and glass of wine. The afternoon completes with Gin tasting at the Esperance distillery with unique local botanicals.
