Historic Mellenbye Station is a working cattle station, located on the sealed Morawa-Yalgoo Road in the district of Yalgoo.
Mellenbye Station Stay is located just 6.5 kilometres off the sealed Morawa Yalgoo Road. There are two entrances to the station, the first of which at the southern border is a private entrance and it is located just after the cattle grid crossing at the Morawa and Yalgoo border.
Note: You cannot access the station stay through this entrance. Please travel a further 9 kilometres north to the Homestead Entrance.
The Station Stay entrance and entrance to the old homestead is located near the Northern boundary of the station. This entrance is 47.6 kilometres North from Morawa and approximately 77 kilometres from Yalgoo.

Facilities
Mellenbye Station offers visitors the opportunity to camp on our flat camping sites with campfire pits available at every site. The historic shearing shed is open for inspection and enables guests to enjoy movie and karaoke nights as well as indoor games.
The sites are un-powered, but power can be used in the campers kitchen.
Groups and caravan clubs are most welcome.

Shearers quarter accommodation have access to showers, toilets, campers kitchen, shearing shed etc.
There is a communal fire-pit outside the quarters for use.
There are two Shearers quarters buildings. All have innerspring mattresses and pillow supplied. There are seven rooms with two single beds. Plus one room with a double bed and single bed.

There are a total of 10 donga rooms in three buildings. The Family Donga has one room with a Double bed and Two rooms have two single bunk beds, each have a private Ensuite with shower and Toilet. The Homestead Donga and Shearing Shed donga have queen beds and a small refrigerator. All Donga rooms have Linen supplied, air conditioning and tea coffee making facilities in each room. Each Donga has an outside deck area with seating. There is a firepit located nearby.
There are five Pods with couch that converts to a double bed, small table, closet, ensuite with shower and toilet plus a deck area with seating. Tea and coffee making facilities are available. The pods are in a bush setting and are some distance from the camp kitchen. There is no air conditioning or refrigeration. Each Pod has a small firepit. These pods may also be suitable as a private ensuite for those in campers, camper trailers or small vans. There is no power available for van hook up, no use of microwaves, air conditioners, heaters is permitted. You can however use power for lighting and small power use appliances.
One building with three rooms. Two rooms are standard size and have a queen bed, clothes hanging space, dining table, lounge, kitchenette with microwave, ensuite with shower toilet. The third room has similar facilities to the other two rooms plus a bathroom suitable for those with disabilities with no step shower, shower seat, railing for shower and toilet. All have reverse cycle air conditioning. There is an outside deck area with seating and a communal table. There is an access ramp for those using a walking or wheelchair. There is a communal firepit available.
The motel building has three rooms which are slightly larger than those in the apartment building. The rooms have a queen bed, clothes hanging area, lounge, dining bench, kitchenette with microwave, ensuite with shower and toilet. All rooms have reverse cycle air conditioning. There is a large outside deck with a table and chairs for each room. there are stairs and a small ramp to access the deck area. There is a communal firepit available.
There are two cabins which are located in a bush setting. These have a queen bed, kitchenette, DVD player, Closet, Fan and reverse cycle air conditioning. There are two outside decks with table and chairs.
A firepit is located at the front of the building
There are two cottages located in a bush setting. These are a single bedroom house with kitchen, full size refrigerator, Double bed divan/bed in the lounge room, dining table and chairs for four, DVD player. Laundry trough, ensuite with shower and Toilet. Reverse cycle air conditioning and fans in the lounge and bedroom. The outside deck has a weber barbecue and seating. There is a firepit at the front of the building.
The Manor is a luxury adults getaway located in a bush setting. There is a queen bed, clothes hanging, bedside table and lights in a generous size bedroom, walk in shower with rain head, heating and double basins, full kitchen with cooktop, oven and dishwasher. Six seater table and chairs, two lounge suites, DVD player, music system. The outside deck has seating and a full size weber barbecue. There is a firepit located at the front of the building.
Located in the historically important stone and tin shearing shed is a function area. There are tables and chairs for up to one hundred guests seated. Bain-maries, soup warmer, Plates, cups, glassware, table cloths available for hire, bar area with refrigerators and eskies, fairy and festoon lighting, function kitchen with refrigerators, fridges, ovens, plates, cutlery etc. Large barbecue, wood fired pizza oven and firepit with outdoor festoon lighting.
