The Goldfields-Esperance Development Commission (GEDC) is a Western Australian Government Agency committed to encouraging and promoting economic and social activity in the Goldfields-Esperance Region of Western Australia.
The Goldfields-Esperance region covers a vast 771, 276 square kilometres, with diverse ancient landscapes from the Little Sandy Desert and the Gibson Desert to the North, through 16 million hectares of world-renowned Great Western Woodlands, to the coastal beauty to the south, and across the Nullarbor Plain to South Australia.
The GEDC promotes tourism throughout the Goldfields-Esperance region by providing advice and information to assist local businesses and tourism organisations to apply for funding through the agencies various grant programs and working with key stakeholders to ensure long term growth throughout the region.
