Wait - Jen is Aboriginal Noongar language for ‘emu’s foot-print’ and is a relaxing 10.5km walk trail taking about 4 hours one way.
It starts just off the Great Southern Highway 8km south of Wagin and ends at the north end of Norring Lake. This trail interprets local Noongar culture and follows one of the ancient dreaming trails formed by the Wagul, a mythical being that
created tracks by which the Noongar could pass safely. The trail passes through a variety of vegetation types with a wide range of birdlife.
Kangaroos can often be seen during the day and the remnant bush is home to nocturnal animals. Signs and information panels contain artwork from local artists and give an outline of Noongar traditions and way of life.
