The Big Camera Museum of Photography is the only museum, specifically dedicated to photography, which is open to the public anywhere in Australia.
There’s over 1,700 cameras on display, including projectors, enlargers, processing equipment, movie equipment, magic lanterns, magic lantern slides, zoetropes, phantascopes, kaleidoscopes, epidiascopes, magic mirrors, light meters, flash units, and lots of other photographic memorabilia, dating from 8 years before photography was invented, right up to modern day equipment.
